Languages

I translate from Italian and English into my mother tongue German and from German and English into Italian.

Translation expertise

I specialize in the fields of agriculture (viticulture and olive growing in particular), oenology, edible oil production, wine an food, trade, logistics, tourism and architecture. But thanks to excellent language skills and good scientific and technical knowledge I am able to tackle any kind of translation, from general texts to handbooks.

Prices

The cost of a translation is calculated by the length of the text in the target language. I use to measure it in "units" of 1500 characters (inclusive of spaces).

Base price per unit: 25 Euros

The price per unit may vary according to the length and the degree of difficulty of the source text. Extremely technical texts, for example, require a great deal of terminology work, while long text often are repetitive. Therefore in the first case there will be a price increase in the second a price reduction on the base price. With pleasure I will send you a quotation after viewing the source material.

Delivery times

Delivery times depend on the complexity and the length of the source text. My quotation will inform you also about the approximate delivery time. Urgent deliveries will be surcharged an additional 30% of the base rate.

Transmission of the source text

The fastest and cheapest way of transmission is by e-mail. Otherwise you may send the source material by post to the following address:

All postal charges are to your account. Please make sure to always send a copy of the source text keeping the original. All personal data and contents are certainly treated confidentially.

Other services

I proof read and prepare multilingual glossaries, moreover I transcribe texts from audio or video recordings. When it is not possible to quantify the job in written text I will charge an hourly rate of 25 Euros.

Payment

Payment has to be made by bank transfer within 15 days from delivery. In case of considerably long translations I may ask an advance payment (15% of the quotation).
